Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Provident Live Certificate (the "Service"), the website at livecertificate.providentfgp.com and the iOS app, operated by Provident Financial Group ("Provident," "we," "us"). The app is owned by Provident Design LLC. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

The Service displays certificates of insurance and the current status of insurance coverage placed through Provident, and sends notifications when that status changes. Live certificate information is provided for informational purposes only. A certificate of insurance does not amend, extend or alter the coverage afforded by the policies listed. The terms, conditions, exclusions and limits of the carrier's actual policy control in all cases. Display of a policy in the Service is not a guarantee that coverage exists or applies to any particular claim, and status may lag changes made by a carrier.

2. Eligibility and accounts

Insured accounts are invitation-only and available to clients of Provident's insurance agency. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for your business.
Certificate holders may view a certificate shared with them through a private link without creating an account.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in links, password and devices secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at info@providentfgp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Information you provide must be accurate and kept up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Alter, forge or misrepresent a certificate or coverage information, or present it as proof of coverage that does not exist;
Share private certificate links with anyone you are not authorized to share them with;
Access accounts or data that are not yours, or attempt to probe, scan or bypass security measures;
Interfere with the Service, introduce malicious code, or use automated means to scrape it;
Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harassing purpose.

4. Notifications and SMS consent

By using the Service you agree to receive transactional emails about your account and coverage. Text messages are optional and sent only if you check the SMS consent box; consent is never a condition of using the Service. SMS alerts relate to coverage status changes and certificate activity; message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. 5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, logos and content (excluding your data), is owned by Provident Design LLC and Provident Financial Group and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You keep ownership of information you submit and grant us permission to use it to operate the Service.

6. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROVIDENT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OR THAT NOTIFICATIONS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME OR AT ALL.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROVIDENT, PROVIDENT DESIGN LLC AND THEIR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Nothing in these Terms limits obligations under your insurance policies or our duties as your agent under applicable law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or end access to the Service at any time, including if you violate these Terms or are no longer a client. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
