SMS consent & opt-out

How Provident text notifications work

Provident Financial Group sends text (SMS) messages through its Live Certificate platform to let insureds and certificate holders know when their coverage status changes. No one receives a text until they have explicitly opted in.Consent is optional, unchecked by default, and never a condition of viewing a certificate or using the service. There is no bulk sending, and numbers are never purchased or shared.

1
Recipient provides their mobile number
An insured enters their mobile number during account activation; a certificate holder’s number is on file from their certificate request. Providing a number never triggers a message on its own.
2
Recipient checks the consent box
The recipient checks the “Text me” checkbox, which is unchecked by default. Consent is optional and is never required to view a certificate or to use any part of the service.
3
Recipient saves their preferences
The recipient taps “Save notification preferences.” A one-time confirmation message is sent. They can opt out any time by replying STOP.
Optional: get notified of coverage changes
This is the opt-in form certificate holders see on their live-certificate page. Every box is unchecked by default. Opting in is entirely optional — the certificate PDF is available whether or not the recipient signs up for notifications.

Consent confirmation message sent on subscribe:

“Provident Financial Group: You are now subscribed to certificate of insurance notifications. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.”

Opt out any time

Every message includes “Reply STOP to opt out.” A recipient who replies STOP is immediately removed and receives no further messages. They can also reply HELP for assistance or contact michael@providentfgp.com.

Message volume is low (a few hundred per month maximum). Standard message rates may apply. No short codes; messages come from +1 (855) 834-8674.
